getting a refund on a kitchen.

Just looking for some advice on here. Bought a kitchen 2 days ago (as from this post) and having found nearly all of the cabinets missing either panels or consumables or sustained small scratches or imperfections in the finish, I contacted the company and asked for a refund. Currently awaiting a call back from a manager, the previously caller said I was not entitled to a refund on anything apart from the damaged items. Due to the quality of what I've seen so far I am demanding a full refund as I'm not happy with it. Am I entitled to a full refund or will I have to settle for a partial refund or replacement items? I'm sure I'm still entitled to a full refund, but the company say they are kitchen components and not a full kitchen so can't give a full refund.

How did you pay? Did you sign saying you were happy?Ask me no questions, and I'll tell you no lies0

Well I didn't pay with a card, which is naive I know. I signed to say I had received the items paid for.0

So was it cash? Finance?
Was it a large company? Did they just supply or did they also have their own fitters?Ask me no questions, and I'll tell you no lies0 -
It was with cash and they supplied only. Was extra for fitting. Is a company in Lancashire who claim to supply 1000 kitchens a month, so not small.0

So it's not fitted yet and still in its original packing?Ask me no questions, and I'll tell you no lies0

I'm thinking one of the "kitchen gangsters" chain of "cheap wooden/ex display " kitchens with appliances for £595
what is the company name your purchased from ?Ex forum ambassador

Yes I feared this. Doesn't mean I can't still get a full refund. They are called kitchen designs lancashire. Who have quite a few different websites.0

I think you need to
(i) Put your complaint in writing
(ii) Check to see if they are worth pursuing through courts ie outstanding CCJ's etc
(iii) Contact Trading Standards
(iv) If they won't refund/rectify then pursue themAsk me no questions, and I'll tell you no lies0 -
Expecting a call back from a manager today so I'll see what happens with that. I'll send a formal letter as a result of that. Trading standards and maybe even bbc watchdog will be after that. Thanks for the advice and that you think I have a good argument, if I'm right.0
