Car insurance - Which Occupation ?

I am about to renew my car insurance. Martin's tips says tweaking your occupation can bring down costs. I am unsure what to put for I am self employed, work from home making music/editing photographs to sell via the net. My car isn't used for business much except for going out and taking some photos (not commissioned jobs, just images to sell for my library)

Does anyone know the best job I can select as near as possible for this occupation that will be less costly ?

Could be an interesting decision, but the op has said the only time they'll be using the car for any business use would be taking photographs, so any risk associated with musician, or entrepreneur would be false. Also, it wouldn't be unreasonable to expect a photographer to do a bit of computer editing, printing, adding music etc.

They're not asking what business he uses the car for but what his occupation / occupations are.

He would be best to check with the Insurers but it's likely that it's musician and editor.

If he does not disclose the musician part he could be in very serious trouble if he has a claim as many companies won't cover musicians so he could end up paying his own claim and any third parties claim.

It's even easier for Insurers to discover this type of lie now days as it's likely he will come up if they google his name and he's probably run quotes through as a musician already which means most Insurers will have already noted this

I doubt an insurer would convince a judge someone who puts backing tracks to photos on a pc is a musician.
