Surely if you hate them that much you would want to financially damage then?
You can buy the paper and just cut out the voucher without reading the paper you know. You could even leave the rest of it in the shop if you wanted.
The word nose spite and face come to mind.
No, not even to get a fivers worth of free veg. Would cost me more in fuel to drive to nearest Morrisons anyway. But, the main reason is that the Scum will use the increased sales stats from today in an attempt to make themselves look more popular than other daily rags.0 -
I think Morrisons will be funding most of this. They're more desperate for customers than the Sun is - thanks to Aldi and Lidl.
Don't be silly. The news papers might use words like "slump" "struggling" etc, when describing a small fall in profits, but the impact of aldi and lidl are really very small.
You probably live close enough to one, or both aldi and lidl to shop there, and don't realise that most of the population don't.
Aldi and Lidl will have to build a lot more stores before they can make any real impact on the big supermarkets.0 -

What do we have left if we don't stand up for our principles?
The people behind The Sun aren't daft. Increased sales will increase their advertising revenue. Buying the newspaper helps their business.
I wouldn't put anyone down for taking advantage of this offer; they make their decisions based on their own values, beliefs and circumstances. Why would anyone think it okay to put someone down for stating their views on this offer and informing people why they are choosing not to buy The Sun?
I won't buy The Sun. Anyone want to have a go at me?0 -

i respect you for standing up for what you beleive in, unfortunatly for some free fruit and veg is something they can not turn there back on if they are struggling, some kids do not get fresh stuff so just once I am sure it will do no harm for them to buy the paper xx0 -

I go wherever there is free goods to be had. I have bought 4 papers and will use a £5 voucher a day. To us that is our fruit and vegetables for the week. I only need to buy meat and ambient now. :j
When you are a family struggling on a basic wage with no help as we are deemed to have a good income (yeah right) you don't care about worlds events only feeding your children.
Never look a gift horse In the mouth. I very much welcome this offer. Thank you Morrisons and The Sun :T0 -
Would this include fresh olives as they are technically a fruit
Technically they are not fresh, as they have to be washed in lye then cured and fermented or before they are edible. The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

The Sun, The Guardian, The Mirror.....all the same to me. Same hidden agenda if your awake enough to know but I aint gonna go further than that on this forum, its up to you to find out for yourself and it takes yrs. Normally I wouldnt buy The Sun or any newspaper for the same reasons I dont pay my TV LIE SENSE.....its not called programming for nothing you know
However when all is said and done I find myself having to live presently on less than 40 quid a week I'm gonna destroy my integrity on this one and buy the damn paper.0
