Morning all,
Yes JackieO, my friend and I sat outside and a lady came and stuck your signs on a couple of tables. I'd remembered you posting about belonging so I was trying to work out which one might be you! Oh well, I couldn't make up my mind anywayGood job I didn't go over and say 'who is JackieO?' isn't it,?! They'd have thought I was mad...
Not much on today. Trying to decide whether to insure DS2 on my car this coming year. I have a couple of days to decide. The best premium I have had is £662, which is really very good even though for me alone I usually pay about £125. Have any of you insured your youngsters on your car? Did you regret it?
My school is attempting sports day again this afternoon (after the washout on Monday), and us lunch ladies get to hand out the 1st, 2nd and 3rd stickers. I usually do the 1st ones as they are the only ones I mange to see properly! I hate the dad's race as they thunder down the track so fast you fear for your life!
Skewers in pitta bread with salad for tea tonight.
Have a good day all0 -
Good morning all
It is a very hot day here today and it is school sports day this afternoon. I do so hope there is going to be enough shelter provided.
I have been busy this morning. I made a chocolate toffee tray bake which my lot can have in their lunchboxes, it's something different and it looks lovely. I also managed to get the ironing done a load on the line and one in the machine..
I'm just going to make a salad now then get ready for this afternoon so hope everyone has a good day whatever you're doing2016 Grocery Challenge January: £296.20/£300 February: £262.05/£3000 -
Morning all,
It's been a long time since I was last on here so I'm not up to date on what you lovely bunch are up too, except I have read today that Molly, you are having some probs ((((hugs)))) to you xx.
I have still been O.S. even though absent. I am doing a Chinese pulled pork in the SC to go with noodles, spring rolls and egg fried rice for dinner. Just cooked bubble & squeak for DH to have for lunch with some cold beef.
I treated myself to a Kartcher window vac last week, Omg !! I wish I'd got one years ago, it is a wonderful tool (my toy as DH called it !! ) I wizzed through window, mirror and picture cleaning in record time.
Been doing lots of gardening, cleaning and washing but yet to tackle the ironing.
Love and ((hugs)) to all.0 -

Lovely day again and really hot, I have done so much washing my poor machine has started to squeak  I will see if I can get my friend who is a white goods engineer over to have a look at it for me.
Just spent ages getting white butterfly eggs orf my kale and cabbages, so I found some really ugly gold voile panels that a neighbour gave me and they have been trained over it ( I just hope said neighbour doesn't come round and looks in the back garden)
bethebee lovely to see you posting again, you have been missed.
Essexgirl you haave been MIA for a while, where are you?
Molly, Hilly and LW.
No idea what I am doing for dinner, I have no appetite at the moment and DH is swimming again tonight so it might just be a salad and something thrown together.
Lyn what a shock  I hope that "hewhoknows" is a bit better today, but I think you should get him to the GP for a bit of an MOT, just in case there is an underlying cause x
Better see if the washing is dry
BFN xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

That is something my husband would never do. He's got full no claims discount and has had for a number of years and cherishes it. Not only that he says that our son needs to build up his own no claims discount.... not that he has passed his test yet but it wont be long coming.
I'm worried about my NCBs although I do protect them. DS2 has his cbt test on Sunday so he will then (hopefully) be able to ride his moped. He is still carrying on learning to drive but as insurance is so expensive and he doesn't earn much, it will be a couple of years before he is in a position to own a car. He is off to college about 10 miles away in Sept and I would rather he drove in the pouring rain!0 -
BUTTERFLY BRAIN,
How kind of you to say I was missed. x0
