Replacing a steamed up double glazing window

Hi,
I have a double glazed UPVC window that is steamed up (There is water/moisture between the outside and inside glasses of the window).
After having done some work on Googling, the general suggestion is to replace the seal unit (i.e. the window panel but not the whole frame).
Has anyone done this before? Can this be done by someone with very little home DIY experience?
Thank you.

Yeah I've done it, it's really easy. The hardest part is working out how to get the 4 bits of plastic out that hold the sealed until in place. They could be on the outside or inside depending how it was made. Youtube "how to remove a sealed unit".
Once you have it out you can measure it and order a new one from a local DG company. Install it back again until the new one turns up. Don't try to measure it without removing it as you'll get it wrong.Pants0 -
Thank you so much. Should I just measure the glass itself?Yeah I've done it, it's really easy. The glazing is larger than what you see and it is the full glass size that is required in order to order the correct size to ensure it fits the frame.
They are very awkward to get out and you will require to find something sharp, flat and strong to prise the window retaining insert out. Some sharp flat wall scrappers can be helpful to stop it popping back in. Several pairs of hands would be helpful. Once the retainers are out, you have to make sure that the glass does not fall out. There should be window packers helping to hold it in but a hand would be helpful to secure it until the retainers are re-fitted. When you take the window out to replace it, make sure that you do not lose the window packers!
Make sure that you have the necessary tools! Watch some videos to see how to do it.
You could damage the plastic if you are not very careful, you are bound to bend the edges a bit0
