No, the letter I got said it would change into a young saver at the 3% rate
Am going in branch to sort it - It doesn't make sense to me0 -
This is my very first post on a forum so please forgive me if i.m doing it wrong! I probably should have started a new post but couldn't work out how to. Sorry if im not meant to piggy back this one! I am hugely frustrated with halifax over accounts for my children (5 and 3) which we set up for them when they were born and am probably about to leave the bank. We have never had the 6% AER and in fact staff at the branch have said the most we'll ever get (even though we're paying in the max £100 a month each) is 3%. I've just had an annual statement for one of the accounts and am totally confused to see we've been given under 2% interest (£21, when we'd put in £1,100) for the year despite it saying '6% AER' at the bottom of the paperwork. I'm tearing my hair out! It doesnt help that money matters arent my forte but im not totally unintelligent and just cant reconcile all of this! Any insights gratefully received!0
