Soundbar Fault

Hi There,

I was hoping someone would be able to help me. I bought a Samsung Wireless Soundbar from Currys PC World back in November 2013 and I have had nothing but issues with it since I opened the box.

The issue I have is that the Subwoofer keeps cutting out intermittently. There is no way to hard wire the sound bar and subwoofer together so I have to rely on its wireless function.

I have taken it into Currys PC World loads of times now insisting it still doesn't work, and all they do is send it off for repair. Last time it got sent for repair, its notes stated 'not repaired as no fault found'.

What are my rights in just saying I want a replacement. The managers in the Andover, Hampshire branch are fobbing off all the time and saying the only thing they can do is 'send it off for repair until Samsung give in!!'

This has got to have been the worst company I have ever dealt with in regards to customer service and will never shop there again. But until then, I want my Subwoofer repaired.

Just to add as well, I have removed any interferences. I have tried on a different television in a different room and even had the Soundbar sat next to the Subwoofer, ruling out interference.

All the best
Stu

I had a problem with a JBL bar from Richer, I recorded the problem on my mobile, had a refund being processed before the video even finished...

Is it the TV or sound bar that's been repaired?, cos you say that you've tried it on another TV but haven't said if you tried another sound bar on the TV

We've managed to record the problem (cutting out at least 10 times within 1 minute). They'll only try and fob off with a repair again but I know it never repairs it. :(

I would suggest that you take it to a specialist to have the fault professionally assessed - you'll have to pay, but if they confirm that it is an inherent fault then you'll get the cost refunded, and armed with an independent report and a record of Currys' failure you should be able to get a full refund.
