I find I owe First Direct 75 pound this month

My Overdraft is 500 and I ran over it for 3 consecutive days at max 700 pound. They charge astonishing 25 per day and 75 for 3 days. Not sure I can get it back?

The charges appear to be in line with their published tariff.

You failed to request an overdraft limit. So, they had to apply an informal facility with each increase. The charge for this is £25. However, it can only be incurred once a day (even if transactions come in later that day to increase it further).

If a transaction came in the next day then a further £25 would be taken and that would continue with each day there is a transaction increasing it by more than £10.

If it if your first over limit mistake then most banks will go easy on you and refund most or all of it if you ask them nicely. If you have had over limit charges before (typically within the last 12 months but some may go longer) then they are less inclined to give goodwill refunds as you cant play the "whoops, I didnt realise it" card that often.
