Frontlne Dangers?

Hi

Flea'd mine yesterday and I'm horrified to read this.

All my 5 absolutely hate it and I've always poo pooed them saying "why do they hate it so much - it's only a little wet patch?"

OMG I feel aweful.

Can anyone recommend anything else as good for keeping fleas at bay? I didn't think there was anything

You're probably talking about Nuvan Top which was an aerosol in an orange can. I think it was eventually banned due to containing organophosphates which are extremely toxic if ingested or inhaled.

After reading up to check I'm doing no damage to my doggies by giving them garlic, I've found that it is RAW garlic that is harmful to cats.

I used program on our cat , once a month treatment in his food with good results and no problems (except the cost of it)

I've bought a bottle of home made flea remedy costing £15 and the bottle lasts a whole year per pet. The remedy is as effective as frontline apparently, i'll let you know how i get on with it, if it works then it's very good value for money. My comps knackered :mad:

We use Frontline on our 7 without (thankfully) any problems. I think it is the best product I have ever used. I remember the dreadful Nuvantop days as well! I have used it for years and before that we had flea collers(awful). Two of our cats have severe allergies(innoculations) with one spending 13 days at the vets after having innoculations but dont have any problems with Frontline.
