Hi,
ive just contacted AOL earlier today as i was not happy with the fact that im putting web address into the search engine and not being able to open the found pages, and when i phone up to complain or try and get it fixed its always someone who you cannot understand in somewhere like asia.
I have asked them for my MAC no. as i was no happy and wanted to leave, after coming off the phone to BT for there Homehub offer i had an e-mail stating the following:
Hi
Thanks for your email, The offer wont be available on our links or
web site, Here is the info on it. Please advise,
Dear member,
Broadband Platinum(up to 8 mb) from £12.99 a month with new 0 month
contract AS OF OCTOBER 09
FREE ROUTER
this sounds pretty good to me, i know its £3 a month more but im not tied in to this?
does this sound good to you???0 -
That's a much better deal than I was offered, when they called me out of the blue last week...
3 months at £4.99 (then back to £17.99) or £14.99 a month for 18 months. There was no router offer, and I had to take a new contract for 18 months.
It's only a game

I rung AOL back in Sept 08 to get my MAC number as was fed up of paying £17.99 just for broadband.
Any way by the time I had come off the phone there was a email waiting for me offering me Broad band, free phone calls 24hrs a day and a new wireless router all for the cost of £6.99 a month :j This is all I am still paying over a year later, so well worth contacting them.

OH was paying 9.99 for the 8mb,thats unlimited internet and free evening and weekend calls with talk talk. they rang him last month to tell him his contract was ending and asked him would he be happy to stay with them if they knocked it down to 6.99 and free calls all day, evening and weekend .
guess what he said0 -
I got the £6.99 deal over a year ago, and several friends and relatives have got this after a bit of persistence. I can still override their phone service to take advantage of free/ cheap 0870,0845 numbers, but it depends on your exchange.0
