Small Claims UK to USA?

Hi
I am currently in the middle of a copyright dispute with a company who has taken one of my photos and used it online without permission. They have admitted this but refuse to acknowledge it as copyright infringement and refuse to pay for it. This isn't the first time they have done this and when previously bringing it to their attention they settled with me without problem so a precdent has been set.
Anyway i am confident i have a strong case but i'm unsure what avenues are available for me to take things further. It small claims applicable here? the value of the claim is £400 but it is more about the principle as i cannot afford significant solicitors fees, but i am reticent to let a large multinational bully me
many thanks

No, our courts can not recover money from anyone living in the USA as they have no power to enforce it.
You would have to sue them in the USA where their courts would enforce it, you can sue but only where they are.0 -
If as you say it is a multi national company and has a presents in the UK you can claim from them via money claim online. If they are present in another EC country you can use that countries system which is the same as ours, but maybe another language.
If they are only in the USA maybe a US lawer might take it on for a pentageDo you want your money back, and a bit more, search for 'money claim online' - They don't like it up 'em Captain Mainwaring0 -
If the Americans can take BNP Paribas for $9bn then it should be a doddle. Oh wait, that's right law suits only goes one way and unfortunately not in your favour.
I think this will require a lot of effort, and probably money but I wish you good luck.0 -
