back to the dishy dentist today as the root canal I had done in May still hurting when I touch the tooth :(
well fed up as DD said my tooth is broken and cannot be saved so he is going to take it out next Friday :(
no mention of a replacement but having now read all about implants I don,t think I will be getting one(even supposing I could afford one)

I had an implant about 5/6 years ago and it is without doubt the best thing I ever did. My dentist is fantastic with nervous patients and the whole experience wasn't anything like I expected, the day it was done it hurt like hell in the evening, I took one of the painkillers he had given me, went to bed thinking I would be awake all night. I woke up in the morning and it never bothered me again apart from a niggle here and there as the bone knit around the implant. Mine was a front tooth so I it was an easy decision for me to have it done.

Morning all! Sorry I haven't read back yet....

I applied for a job on monday and got a call yesterday inviting me to an interview on Thursday morning  Panic stations as I have nothing to wear, thank god for next day delivery eh!

Today is mine and blokie's 3 month anniversary, going from our first date in Oxford :j

I am otherwise feeling a bit sorry for myself, well I was yesterday at least. We went to a BBQ on Saturday night and I got bitten quite badly on each ankle, yesterday the skin had gone so stiff and tight I couldn't walk without going "ow ow ow ow OW!", plus I had the implant put in on Monday afternoon so still have to wear a bandage on my upper arm, it can come off in 6 hours though and I will be SO relieved!!

    *Moan moan moan* eh? :rotfl:

Ooh, rosemary, you sound like my tooth twin! ;p I'm considering one of these - for a front tooth - but I bet I would cry at how much they cost. *Shivers*

Looks like a great thread :)

Trying to go on a low-buy/no-buy for the next few months, since it's a possibility I might get to go to the US in October (I'll get to find out next month) and desperately need to save some extra money for it.

However I'm not able to work at the moment and my favourite things to do involve browsing Superdrug/MAC which always leads to purchases! I get quite bored since I care for my grandma and it's one of the things that's easy to do and that I also enjoy.

What are your top tips so far? :)

I browse Pinterest to keep me away from certain websites :)

Palmolive Strawberry butter shower gel (WBA, HG. I keep stockinng whenever I see on sale, it's so freaking good.)

Sophie8 where do you buy this? Sounds like something I would like!

IN's 'Dove intensive repair hair mask' Using on a regular basis in an effort to repair the damage I inflicted on my hair dying it and then stripping it within a week, so far seems to be really making a difference.

No UU's to report. Life and work seem incredibly busy which means less time for pampering. OH is on a extended business trip to China. All the drama seems to happen while he is gone. DD21 fell down on rough ground and knocked out most of her 3 front teeth, and bashed up whole side of her face. Hence trip to A&E and thankfully very talented dentist was able to build up her teeth again. I got a call at work from DD19 asking me to buy big plasters as she'd cut her foot. When I got home I knew something was up as bike was discarded just inside garden gate, and there was a bloody flip flop, tissues and trail of blood leading into the house. DD19 had discovered bikes and flip flops are not a good combination. Hoping for a quiet few days now...
No buying unnecessary toiletries 2014. Epiphany on 4/4/14 - went into shop to buy 2 items, walked out with 17!

grapesicle Welcome :) . I think the top tips been said, if your purchases are done online, stay away from those websites, pinterest is one of my favourits too :D
Other than that I'd say "shop your stash", I love to browse and buy new things, retail therapy is real! But I'm in the process of having a big sort out throwing everything old, and past it's best. I found a few bits and pieces I've not used in ages and now I'm using them daily again, it's like having new things :D. One of them is a perfume that is years old, it's from B never too busy to be beautiful, way back before they closed down! But I've fallen in love with the scent again :) It's like I've been shopping but it's cost me nothing!! :j
Failing that, my favourite shopping trips are the ones where there are enough points on my costa card/stamps on my nero card for a free drink, and enough points on my superdrug/boots card to treat myself. I occasionally have entirely free shopping trips :D (well almost :( stupid car parks!!)
Ooh another idea, one I do a lot, is I add things to my "cart" online, or I'm an Avon rep so I write out my order, but then leave it for a hour, few days go back take things back off. I never buy anything straight away any more... I tend to find when I go back I um and ah and wind up removing most if not all of it...

    wow that was long... sorry!

I need to try and finish my sorting out today! I go on holiday on sat!! I also ned to be on my best behaviour purchase wise, because, I bought a new car!! Went to view it Tuesday, brought it home yesterday, it's so beautiful! :D !

    Thanks Sophie8 :) x

I think my cull is done!
I want to add nail varnish to my stash but definitely not got time to start that until I get back from holiday so my current totals...

    Skin care
    Face cream - 5
    Eyecream - 2
    Make up remover/toner/cleanser - 3

    Make up
    lip products - 17
Mascara - 4 (though probably a couple of these can go when I try them)
    Eyeshadow - 9
    Bronzer - 1
    Blush - 2
    Powder - 2
    Primer - 1
    Concealer - 2
    Foundation - 4

    Creams
    Body lotions - 15
    Hand cream - 3
    Foot Cream - 2

    Hair - 23
    Perfume - 7
    Misc - 3
    Bath - 4

Which puts my current stash at 109!
Last count was 175... some have been sold on ebay or used up since then... so that hasn't all been chucked. But a fair bit has :(
Worst is the wasted perfume which I figured to be about 115ml! Luckily most of it was cheap stores own, like body shop, or next but still lets avoid that next time!
