    Morning ladies.

Kadison - how did your waxing go? I only ever had it done once.

KT2802 - did you get the perfect lip liner in that little lot?

I haven't bought any magazines for the freebies, I would like to try a chubby stick but I'm not too fussed, I love the S&G Balm sticks, the Revlon and Rimmel ones so I don't need it.

    I have a uu

Avene Hydrance Optimale 5ml, this was very nice, I used it for the SPF when out cycling and running. WBA.

Good luck with your bubbles, I've got some of this at the mo and it might just be the hard water here but I have never known a least bubbly bubble bath!! Wasn't great as a shower gel either so repurposed as hand wash and it's doing just fine :D

Funny you should mention that, I tried it for the first time last night and was not impressed with the amount of bubbles! I'll try doubling the amount next time. I hope I can get it to work, I love the smell!

Actually Honey, all this talk of your son reminds me of something that happened to me on the train to work a few years ago. I was standing up and the train was busy and hot. I started to feel quite sick, and then all of a sudden I lost the vision in both of my eyes. Everything went black and I obviously panicked. I actually shouted out "I can't see!!!!" Some people let me sit down and after a few minutes my vision cleared. I spoke to people about it and they said it was me fainting without actually passing out. I don't know if this sounds similar to what happened to your son, it sounds like his vision was gone longer than mine was, but maybe something similar happened?

pirateyqueen, that happened to me once on a train too, it was hugely embarrassing :o I also fainted when I was going out for lunch with DH, I'd met him at the car park at his work and as we walked towards town everything just got lighter and sparkly and then I couldn't see anything, poor DH had to carry me into the gym he attends which was just up the road, and I had to lie on the floor in reception with my feet on a chair for ten minutes  I felt like such a Wally!

Honey, I hope your son is better now and there are no repeat performances, I'm sure the MRI is purely a precaution and once it's done, you can rest easier! My nephew has has various brain scans etc as he has tourettes and suspected epilepsy, I think the whole shebang was far more stressful for his mum than it was for him :) Loss of vision isn't uncommon with migraines (I often get blind spots, and once or twice have lost the sight in one eye for a couple of hours) and oddly, head pain isn't always present with migraine either. I often get them in my teeth and sometimes just in my tummy. I'm sure my whole family thinks I'm cuckoo :rotfl: I only mention this in case it doesn't happen again (which I sincerely hope it doesn't!), try not to worry too much. Easier said than done, I know xx

I am SO FED UP with the state of my face, I'm throwing everything in my arsenal at it in the hope of improving the texture and evening out my skin tone. Current bedtime regime:

HCC to remove makeup, washed off with flannel, giving my plooky chin a good scrub
Elemis Tri-Enzyme Resurfacing Face Wash, splashed off with warm water then gently wiped with a cool, damp muslin cloth
Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Complex applied to my whole face, adding an extra thin layer to my under eye and chin areas
Estee Lauder Advanced Time Zone moisturiser and eye cream

And you know what? It seems to be working. The fine lines under my eyes are much less noticeable and my concealer isn't settling in them any more. Also my chin seems to be clearing a bit, it's not smooth but the bumps are making their way to the surface and I don't seem to be developing any new ones to take their place. Early days but I'm tentatively hopeful! :)

    ***WARNING***
    ENABLING POST!!!

Harpers Bazaar - L'Occitane, choice of 4 fragrances

Quite a lot of great freebies this month. I'm a lost cause... :o

Thank you so much for posting this. I already own three of these fragrances and love them. Mentioned them to MrM this morning and bless him he has gone and got me one of each from the large Tesco in town.
Exhausted all shops here and mums looked too but Chubby Sticks are rarer than hens teeth! :(

Yes, I'm wondering if it's been posted elsewhere as to how rare they seem to be as Emma got excited yesterday when I said I was looking at the mags. Maybe I'll go out for a reccie at lunch as we have loads of newsagents where I work.

In other news I have bitten the bullet and, at the grand age of 36, I have booked my very first bikini wax, I'm going for an almost Brazilian, bit scared but I HATE having to shave so hopefully it'll be worth it!

I've booked one too for 2 August 2014, the week before I go away.

Oh VALM I loved it!! He had the flu but was still AMAZING!!!

We bought the recording of the show and no, it's not edited!! Been subjecting my colleagues to it all day!!!!

I thought there was something up when we saw him on Wednesday because he really did vent at that woman with the chocolate! Plus he looked really tired and sweaty at the end. Did you hear that I fell of the stage in Newcastle and broke a woman's arm?

So now have caught up with the thread. Sending love to all those that need it.

I did go shopping in Manchester on Saturday with Emma and managed to spend £42.00 in Boots. Can't really remember what on now though. I know I had gone in for facial wipes (our water was off on Saturday morning!) - got the Yes to Grapefruit ones which are lovely. Had a sniff of the S&G new Orange shower gel but then saw that they now sell Sugar Crush in a shower gel form so got a bottle of this. AS it was 3 for 2 ended up buying a hand wash for work as mine is getting low. So the facial wipes were free. Bought a hair dye, mascara and false eyelashes for Emma and lunch for us both so that must have been it. Still 20p short of the AP value of my new Benefit Lemon Aid.

Gonna go now, glad that I've caught up with you all. I feel a reccie for Chubby Sticks coming on!

I'm in again!!! As always ;)

I've seen lots of the chubby stick, both shades up here, If anyone else wants to try them I can stick them in the post.
    :)

Yes please to the kind offer of Chubby Sticks! :)
I have nowhere else to look around here.

If anyone doubles up, I'll ensure you aren't out of pocket, although I am sure there are others on this thread who would be happy to have them too.

Thank you, you are all a lovely bunch.

OK, here we go.... deep breath!!

My goodness, I didn't think it was that much!! :(

Plan is to use any products which can be as 'multi-purpose' i.e shampoo which I've 'fallen out with' to be used as shower gel/shaving foam etc.

Face masks to be used perhaps every second evening and shared between myself and OH.

Body scrubs to be used daily, as well as moisturising - this will help prepare skin for holiday too which is a bonus.

A lot of these products will be taken on holiday (and NOT returned) so that will make a dent in the list.

I am not a fan of fake tans, despite the list of them! If anyone is interested in swapping any of the fake tan items, I would be more than grateful!

honey72 - I'm sorry to hear about what happened to your son, going blind suddenly is my greatest fear. I'm glad his vision is back to normal now, hopefully it was a one-off or something they can easily prevent happening again xxx
