    A significant amount.

I'm sure you'll be able to point to one then from this year. After all, if there's a significant amount it should be easy.
a lot of people obviously make up what they think is the law instead of knowing whether it really exists or not

Or perhaps you can't read / don't understand / make up what people actually do write on here?

    A significant amount.

I did a search for those very words. "trading standards act" does NOT return ANY results in at least the first couple of pages of results with those very words in sequence (I got bored looking further), other than this very thread where YOU mention it. ;)

I think the Shell garage with the illegal signs thread had the Trading Standards Act referenced!

yeah yeah whatever you are all like children. i spoke to my friend who is a very successful conservatory company, a big name in this part of the country. he has told me that the trading standards act requires the retailer to provide a "full list of payment methods in a recognised format at the point of sale". the petrol station did not provide this.

as for my mother i will call her what i want she is a lovely lady and did not deserve this treatment.

    There you go!

That's on a different board, not Consumer Rights.

Of course it's possible that by "on here" MSK is referring to "the internet as a whole".

And also that example was a troll, quite clearly, so I'm not sure it counts.

Plus it IS the unfair trading act, but virtue that it's the act about unfair trading, it's just not The Unfair Trading Act.

It should count, it went on for about 15 pages ! even though it was a Troll, they quoted it, it was on THIS website , so what Money-Saving-King has said is correct. It was also mentioned numerous times, so him saying significant amount is also correct.

Just for the pedantic ones out there ! lol

Out-pedanting pedants is one of my favourite pastimes ;)

You often find that people correct other people with incorrect corrections. I mean, if you're going to bother, let's do it right, shall we? ;)
