Parking Eye Problems Channons Hill RP, Bristol.

I've looked and forums and not found an answer to a problem i've been having with Parking Eye, so was hoping someone could point me in right direction.
I had a job working on a new unit at Channons Hill Retail Park, Bristol and was told by main contractor that as I was working on one of the units, the 3 hour parking limit did not apply. Lo and behold parking ticket duly arrived. I went to see manager of unit I was working on and she said she would register my details with Parking Eye and the ticket would be annulled and there would be no more tickets as my car would be on file.
Surprisingly two weeks later letter arrived saying the ticket was cancelled and stating no outstanding payment due on this account.
Imagine my surprise when I received a further PCN some two weeks later. I was no longer in Bristol (moved onto next job in Scotland) so I phoned the unit and the manager told me to ignore it as they have my details on file. Four weeks later I received outstanding notice for full amount, £100.
I filled in online form explaining that I worked on a unit, that they had previously annulled a ticket and they would have my details on file. I also attached a file showing letter that I received from them.
This morning I received a letter from them saying the charge has been placed on hold for 14 days and asking me to provide a job sheet signed by a representative from the unit were I worked. As I am still in Scotland and live in Liverpool there is no way I can provide such evidence.
How should I proceed ?

Write them explaining it and ask them if they want to waste their time and money doing a Popla appeal where you will raise questions about their signage, contract, losses, and status.
If they wish to play silly!!!!!!s, warn them of the consequences. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
Agreed. Tell them you have no intention of jumping to their tune by getting stupid bits of paper from one end of the country to the other, so they can un-hold it and issue a PoPLA code so you can bring up no GPEOL and they will submit no evidence.Je suis Charlie.0

Kind of obvious surely - ask the Manager who told you to ignore it, to send an email to you that you can forward to PE showing the 'details on file' about the job.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks for your replies. Yes thought it would be pretty obvious seeing as they had cancelled last ticket but who knows how these people work.
The last reply seems the best course of action so i'm in the process of contacting manager of retail unit. (she's very busy and will call me back when she gets a minute). Am going to ask her to email Parking Eye my details and the fact I was working there. I will also ask her to send me a copy. Hopefully this sort it out but i'm sure there will be more twists and turns to this story. Will post and let know outcome.
Thanks again. :T0 -
No - ask her to email the details to you. You then forward your evidence to PE.
Never ask a third party to talk to a third party for you when you need to control it - not least because she's a third party who could easily do something daft like not state your PCN number properly on the subject line. They'd not know what it related to and would ignore it and you'd be up the creek paddling against a PE small claim.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

So now you've got two busy people jumping to PE's tune.Je suis Charlie.0
