I find it easier to do it manually, less worry :eek:If you change nothing, nothing will change!!0

Thanks redux. 1 day in/out of a topped up Sant 123 is my preferred option.
Small logistical hitch in that I'm not in the UK at the moment and they're not accepting my international mobile number to receive the OTP to set up new payees.
So as a workaround I'll pre-fund my HSBC c/a where most of the payees currently sit but I don't want to send back to Sant 123 until it's all in to avoid OD, hence 3 business days until I'm back in Ol' Blighty.0 -
There seems to be some over-thinking going on............
I was trying to do in/out in one day from the same account to keep it simple but was worried if that was under-thinking it as I only ever see long lists of the same amounts dancing around accounts for up to a week!
Might have to do something similar though if I'm to avoid sticking too much into my HSBC over 3 days until I can sort out my Sant 123 payees per above.0 -
To avoid confusion, you can use the Reference field, and/or send different amounts. E.g. if you have 2 account with which you have to swap £500 each, uses £501 for the first account, and £502 for the second.
I have for years done all my transfers on the same day, out and back, by SO.0 -

If you don't have a UK mobile phone with you at the moment, you might set up a VoIP account with an incoming landline number, with the account either registered on a smartphone or calls forwarded to your other mobile.0 -
Santander OTP only works with recognised UK mobile STDs so probably wouldn't work with a VoIP number.0

If I'm immobile, can Santander guarantee protection from STDs?0 -
Does it matter to the ease of opening, T&C's or anything detrimental if when opening the current accounts you opt for a £100 overdraft facility built in.0

There will be a credit check and if you are in the habit of opening large numbers of accounts that also require credit checks there is a possibility it may affect your credit rating. I think this is likely to be a small effect and not last longer than a couple of years. If you don't open many accounts, no problem.0 -
I had a question about the accounts that want you to use the 7 day switching service to receive a £100 bonus (or similar amount). I only have 1 joint Santander 123 account and don't really want to close the account.
Can I open a "dummy" account (which I have no intention of keeping) for like 7 days and maybe give it 2 of my direct debits, then use this 7 day switching service to transfer the 2 direct debits and then I have ticked all the boxes?
