Hi I have a new laptop which i would like to use for internet as well as my desk pc.The laptop has 10/100 wired or something. My question is ,which router do i need ? a wireleess or wired and what is the difference as surely they are both wireless to the laptop.I am a tech newbie and if i am sounding stupid...sorry.
I am on bt broadband and what type of router would you suggest,i guess i will need a brouter with modem in as the bt speedtouch i have at the mo has usb conns.Any help much appreciated,

As you have a wired laptop you will need a wired router.
Wireless means everything is connected via frequencies. I take it you want to get rid of the bt speedtouch.
You need to be looking for a router with built in modem.

Also how does the signal get from the router to laptop ?
