Hi all
My gas meter is currently at 9858, and only has 4 digits, what will happen when it gets to 9999? Presumably will go back to 0000, but won't that affect my billing?

No. When it changes to 0000 you will have used 142 gas units.
So if, say, your next reading is 0057 you will have used 199 units.0 -

Ok, so when I go to manually enter my meter readings online, and computer says they do not correspond I will remind you the world didn't end and the computer said no...0 -
The website clearly only follow simple logic, ie the latest read must be equal to or greater thanks that last actual reading. When it does go round past 9999, just do it over the phone and it will then be sorted.Ex BG complaints veteran of 6 years!0
