Can you get quidco & moneyback when switching ?

Guys,

I'm desparate to get away from the appaling npower and their crooked devious ways (please check your bills like hawks if you use them)

On moneysupermarket Atlantic came on 2nd best for me with a £150 saving for dual fuel per annum and a £30 cashback.

However I realise some suppliers allow quidco as well - is it possible to get both, if so which suppliers allow it?

How long does a switch normally take - the sooner i'm away from npower the better !!

Finally Atlantic show that month 13 is free (via rebate) - Is this part of the shown saving ? so in real terms any saving is what's left after deducting the free month & £30 cashback ?

It's not possible to get both I'm afraid, as if you go through Quidco you switch directly through the suppliers site, not a switching site. There are a couple of switching sites listed on Quidco, but they won't pay Quidco & cashback I'm afraid, it's one or the other.

A switch usually takes between 4-8 weeks.

If you look on the switching site, it will have an option to show more info on the tariff, and it should say in there if the annual rebate is included. In real terms the rebate is still part of your savings though - a discount is a discount whatever guise it comes in. The cashback is a bonus as opposed to part of your savings, as you would get that whichever company you switched to.

I switched to Atlantic about 1 1/2 years ago, and am very happy with their service. I would switch again if necessary to reduce costs, but whenever I check they are the best.

(You didn't ask this, but thought you might be interested!)

Thanks Jen - An energy supplier that is customer friendly AND keeps it's costs cheaper than the opposition....now that takes some doing !!

Thanks Tripled - I'll just go for the £30 cashback...can't believe i'm getting paid to leave npower....bit like Alan Johnson getting paid to leave his captors in Gazza :rotfl:
