Do you un-retweet after a twitter competition ends?

Hi,

I'm completely new to twitter and wanted to ask whether people un-retweet posts after a competition ends to 'clean up' their timeline and make it less comp-heavy?

I wouldn't unfollow the person/company as they may run other competitions in the future but I would remove competition retweets unless it was seen as poor etiquette.

    Welcome to MSE :) !

I'm no Twitter expert, but my gut feeling is that life's too short! Otherwise, I've never considered it!

As for unfollowing, as you may have to re-think your commendable manners as you regularly hit you 2,000 following limit ;) LOL!

    Happy comping :)

I wouldn't bother doing that - there's not a limit on how many tweets you're allowed on your timeline. :)

Nope, I never bother but it could help for those competitions that don't want a "comping" winner and base it on the ratio of comp tweets to others (national lottery ran one where they wanted at least 50% to be non comping tweets)

I never even knew this was an option but I can't imagine where anyone would find the time and /or interest to do such a thing.

No, i tweet masses so it would take ages. I win fairly regularly on Twitter so having a comping timeline hasn't been a hindrance to me.
I do chat with friends on there sometimes when I think it looks a bit comp heavy ;)
