Boxing in a fuse box

Would it need venting if inbox it in to be hidden from the wall?
Does it get hot?

Why would you box in the fuse box?

If you need access to it in a power cut, how the hell are you going to get in it? Hack the wall out?

There may also be regulations regarding that - I would consult someone who is in the know such as a qualified electrician, or someone may be along soon with some more information, but that is the most stupid thing I've heard all week.

    A little harsh....

Box it in by all means BUT ensure you can access it - i.e. put some doors on, or a removable panel.
Also ensure that an electrician would be able to remove the face of the box for access purposes.

I presume you meant this by boxing in anyway ;D
