If you have an passport renewal appointment at a passport office and they say your photo doesn't meet requirements, would they do a new one there and then or would you have to make another appointment?

If everything else is ok with the appointment, you can submit another by mail but if you have the slightest doubt about acceptability, get another set done and certified by the same person who did your original image and take it with you!0

There were no facilities, as i recall, inside peterborough passport office, to take new passport photos, when i was there earlier this month. however, they do operate half~hour appointment slots, so its possible that if u are there 10 mins before your appointment, so through security and into reception at the start of your slot, you may have time to go get new photos if the passport officer says yours are not acceptable, and then be back before the end of your appointment slot.
if you follow the photo guidelines to the letter you should be fine ~ mine are awful but they pass the rules.0 -
The photo rules are not rocket science.

But are subjective. When I got my British passport renewed on the express process the chap sitting next to me had his photos rejected as they said the collar on his shirt was too high. Now, it was a 3 button collar fashion shirt etc but it didnt even meet his jawline let alone obscure his face at all.
With the on the day service they certainly allowed him to use their photo machine to take a new photo and then wait for another slot to see someone on the same day but he'd been waiting there 2 hours by the time I went to get mine done (he was gone by the time I got out)0 -

It's best to go to a photographers to get hte photos done, they will take them on the digital camera until they get them right, only printing them once when they do so only charging you one fee. It costs slightly more but it's a lot less stressful than trying to get accurate photos done in a booth.Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End
You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time0
