ANPR LTD Ticket in a rental car

Hello!

Newbie posting so I just went with a new thread...

I was parked at 'Priory house' or 'The Brecks' in Warrington, both Friday and Saturday night. At about 00:10 both nights, I had received a ticket, not noticing the first one until this morning.

Now I am currently driving an Enterprise Rent-A-Car due to being involved in a car accident and this being my insurers preferred option.

The ticket states I was parked in an area where I needed a permit at both times (bare in mind the time I was parked I think this is ridiculous as the office isn't even open)

They have lumped me with two tickets both £100 each or £50 if I pay them within 14 days. There is no appeal process stated on the back of the ticket that was attached to my windscreen and I refuse to pay for parking on land that was vacant at the time of me using it (30 minutes, visiting my friends takeaway)

I've read online that in a nutshell, I don't have to pay... But unfortunately I don't have the time to wait 56 days for a NTK or time to appeal as I emigrate in 6 weeks exactly.

Now in my support, checking the ANPR website, there is only a photograph of my numberplate - no photographs of the parking violation, the area I was parked in or signs showing I couldn't park there.

What do I do?

Thanks

AL

read the follow the NEWBIES sticky thread advice , using the template supplied , appealing as keeper asap following the advice given for rental cars.hire cars/lease cars , due to the fact that as its a rental vehicle you would never get an NTK anyway

whatever you have read online , forget it and follow the advice in that thread , otherwise you will get the rental company on your back and charging you

That's what I thought - I'll advise enterprise not to pay it as it's an invoice and that I am dealing with it!

    Thank you!

I would put it in writing to Enterprise, making sure that should they get the NTK, that they simply discharge their duty by naming the driver so that you get the NTD through the post. They are not to pay the speculative invoice.

However you are best appealing promptly as driver using the advice Redx has directed you toward. So hopefully the Enterprise will not get any notifications from the PPC that they may try charging you for handling.
Newbie thread: go to the top of this page and find these words: Main site > MoneySavingExpert.com Forums > Household & Travel > Motoring > Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. Click on words Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. Newbie thread is the first post. Blue New Thread button is just above it to left.

Make sure that Enterprise don't bill you direct from your credit/debit card. Several car hire companies have a habit of doing this even thought the trade body BVRLA they are signed up to tell them to contact the driver. Enterprise may say it is in their Ts and Cs that they can make the payment and take it from your card, but they are wrong.
If this happens come back for more help, and also make a complaint on the BVRLA website.
