Is that £220 per month for buildings insurance?
I have a £400k house and I pay £15 per month WITH content cover
What are you insuring?
Also that all comes to £890.49 if I've punched that in correctly. You should really be at £690.49 with £200 cheaper insurance however I appreciate you haven't explained any special circumstances here.0 -

Sorry, that's the yearly figure. Must have been having a brain storm there! £18.33 a month, that explains why my figures were wrong! Good job I checked with all of you guys, or I would not have seen that for looking!!!Minimalist

You could always get a job. not a bad idea for someone under 30.0

Not a bad idea for you to p off you're SO RUDE! I'm self-employed thank you very much and a part-time MSc student, so it is not a good idea to use my income for a mortgage and our personal choice not to. Anyway, who are you to know what someone's personal circumstances are- they might be disabled or have children or anything! I'd keep your opinions to yourself in the future. Anyway, I'm over 30 and sounds like you're just jealous that I was mortgage and debt free before I was 30.Minimalist

At this point, I'm going to thank most people for their helpful comments and messages, as they have assisted me to resolve this issue. I never intended for this thread to become an opportunity for people to throw rude comments around about other people's lifestyle choices, so I think we should close it here. Thanks to all. I will not be responding to any further comments and I am unsubscribing form this thread, as its original aim has been met.Minimalist

Car maintenance £40 a month? That seems a little high also. Its either a very well maintained car or a money pit?
