Shower tray on solid floor

I'm thinking of putting a shower in.
The floor is solid concrete and so the waste pipe will have to run above the floor.
There are some shower trays where you have to buy additional leg and side panel kits, are these ok, or are the higher shower trays a better option?

Please don't go for a crappy fibreglass extended leg shower tray, you will never seal it long term.

Think lifting the shower area on a plinth, or gouging out for the trap.
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Mira flight are great, riser kits work well

If a timber base is used make sure you use a 22/25mm plywood with 3x2 timbers. Bed the tray on a tile adhesive base to level

    ....gouging out for the trap.

Do you mean into the screed? What sort of depth?

Into the screed or concrete even. Deep enough to enable the trap to be cleaned, dependent on type of trap of course.
