Telescopic roller blinds! Where can I find them?

I've spent hours searching but I cannot find these anywhere. I need a blackout roller blind that fits inside the frame of the window but that doesn't need screws for fitting, a bit like the telescopic shower rails you can get. Any idea where I can get one of those?

Thanks in advance for the help! :beer:

    Look at these.
  • I spent a LONG time trying to find a blind that actually did keep out all the light.

    The first thing that I learnt is that practically everyone who claims to sell "blackout" blinds are being - shall we say - "economical with the truth" !!!!
    They use "blackout" fabric, which is lightproof - but of course that doesn't keep out the light that comes in all round the fabric and the roller. You will find (eventually) words to that effect in the small print.
    Go by the price - it will only be really lightproof if it is expensive !!

    I got one from:
    http://www.blocblinds.co.uk/window_blinds/blocout_blinds

    "When combined with the right fabrics the BlocOut Blind can also bring complete and total darkness to a room. These possibilities bring this range of blinds an added functionality that is just not possible to achieve with any other blind currently on the market"

    It does need a couple of screws/masonry pins, without them it cannot be lightproof. It is a very basic DIY job to fit it though.

    It does just what it says:- at 8 in the morning when the sun is shining outside, my cat is still asleep on the bed thinking it is still the middle of the night and nowhere near his feeding time :rotfl::rotfl:
  • Hi there,

    I am also hunting high and low for a blind that can be mounted with some sort of tension spring rod.
    Due to some works going on at the moment, in a bedroom I am no longer able to put up a curtain rail as there is no clearance either side of the window frame. The ceiling has also been lowered so there is no space above the frame to install a normal roller blind either.
    This leaves me with a frame mounted blind option only.

    I found INTU blinds and Perfect Fit blinds, and was about to press the order button on INTU, when I realised that if the window is open, the blind is effectively useless;

    The bedroom has a two panelled window, with a horizontal split. The INTU blind system is fine for the top part, but if the bottom part is pushed open (which is normally the case in the summer as the bedroom gets very warm) then the blind opens with the window, rather than dropping straight down, therefore being unable to provide the light dimming effects needed in a bedroom.

    Is there any blind system out there that can be installed so that it fits within the frame, but doesn't 'stick' to the glass pane meaning that when opened, there is no point to the blind?
