Hi,

Is it sensible to get a gas safety check each year and, if so, how much should I expect to pay for it?

Should I ask my energy supplier to undertake the check?

Thanks

Annual checks are mandatory for Rental properties

If you ask a question like above, nobody will dare to say it isn't necessary.

So yes get one done - perhaps every week in case a fault develops a day or two after the annual check!

Annual service of central heating should cover it. If it doesn't, ask that it does in future.

You need an appropriately qualified GSR engineer to inpect it. It'll cost about £50-£80 or significantly more if you ask British Gas.
