Regardless of whether they'll take it from you, you should put it straight towards your debt yourself. Woohoo, you've made £8,000. You still owe £50,000, just put it towards paying it off.
Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.

ALWAYS HAVE A DIRECT DEBIT SET UP FOR THE MINIMUM PAYMENT ON YOUR CREDIT CARDS, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU PLAN TO LOGIN AND PAY EACH MONTH.

You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset. ;)

Remember that if you're telling the card companies (through the IVA) that you can't afford to pay, but you're sitting on £8000, that could be seen as fraud.

Let's say you've got 10 cards, and you owe each one £5000.

What will the boss of ABC Bank think, if you told him that you owe him £5000, you've got £8000 in the bank, but you're going to get an IVA instead?
