Got a Sony xperia s model no LT18i, and it just won't pair up (via bluetooth) with a Renault Megane Coupe (2011 year). Is it incompatible or am I doing something wrong?

Sounds like you are not completing the sequence to pair the devices.
Set the bluetooth to discoverable and then follow the radio instructions to pair a new device or set the bluetooth on the handset to scan and it should see the radio, then press pair, usually then you will have to enter a code, one of the devices should display the code to enter.0 -
Did all that....and no success. May try again in morning.0

Have a look at this before you go out to retry.0 -
Some people (including me) have had success with pairing Android phones to the Renault Radiosat by installing 'Bluetooth File Manager' on the phone. It's available free on the Google Play Store. My old Nokia E5 worked perfectly with the Radiosat but it didn't like the newer Huawei phone I'm using now until I installed the Bluetooth File manager. You don't need to actually use the program - it loads when you switch on Bluetooth then just runs in the background until you turn off the Bluetooth.0

Can't get anything to do the job. By googling couldn't find a definitive answer to whether its a compatibility issue...probably is 'though. Decided to go a more basic route; Stereo Jack to RCA Phono cable off Ebay...less than £2! Its mainly for playing music and podcasts off phone more than as a hands free phone use anyway.0

Once the phone is paired then both should be possible, it does depend though if the radio supports the particular BT profile. I have a Sony phone and can only imagine the radio may not support the BT profile, but it should certainly work for BT handsfree.0
