Cost and ease of diagnosing a speedometer repair is one thing.

In reality so many vehicles get clocked by back-street grease monkeys and main dealers alike that any mileage numbers displayed should be viewed with caution.

Give a high miler well maintained car any day rather than some low miler city runabout. I'd like to see cars with a running hours counter as well as milometer, it would be a lot more revealing.

How do you know such people?

Why do these people take the car to the dealer? the MOT test will keep an annual record of mileage.

Ever thought that people have had multiple careers and jobs in their life?

    Why do you think?

To keep up the full service history so beloved by the average UK car buyer.
