First Utility Complaint £50 offered

So First Utility have responded to my complaint after 28 days admitting they were at fault. They continuously cancelled my direct debit and failed on numerous occasions to reinstate it after my request. 8 months later they finally managed to set this up by I am now £700 in debt as they haven't taken a signal payment from my bank account. They have admitted they are wrong and offered me £50 in compensation for this.
What would people do?
Accept this and move on? or
Refer this to the energy ombudsman?
I was really disappointed with FU!

Move on. Ombudsman may award you less.
You've had an interest free loan for 8 months and as you were aware of how much they should have been taking, you've kept that aside haven't you, so you don't really have a debt?0 -
Thanks for your comment. Yes the money is set a side to pay this. However I have set up the monthly direct debit now it has been instated at a slightly higher than usual amount0

give them reads and should lower, if the dd is higher due to the usage then not much you can do. £50 is about right for the errorDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0
