If you can say which cards you currently have it'll be possible to say how receptive they are to receiving a balance transfer that is above the balance then transferring the excess into your current account. Quite a lot of cards will do this occasionally.

Mine (HSBC and AmEx) are circa 90%.

Can't remember exact amounts, but I know this is about the industry average.

I have only just applied for it (not received the card yet), the system gave a £1300 limit, bit I suppose it depends on individual circumstances.
