story homes?

my husband and i very much dislike new homes but we recently visited a site being built by story homes and we were very impressed. we did notice that they are a lot more expensive than barrat homes etc but is the build quality better?

    I would imagine that the finish (i.e. the stuff that you can see) will be higher quality / more upmarket in order to justify the price hike.

    But all that sort of stuff is upgradable on a "basic" new home.


    I would expect bigger rooms and larger plots if I was paying a general premium.

    They may have built the internal walls out of brick rather than the cheaper dryline method. Also, they might have used higher quality fixtures.

    Where was the development you looked at? They are predominantly North England. I live in Cumbria where Story Homes are based and they are sprouting up new developments everywhere!
    They are renowned in Cumbria for building the best homes with high quality materials, appliances, finishes, finish choices and large spacious houses.
    I can tell you the get snapped up super fast when they are released in this neck of the woods.
    My brother has also just bought one and is awaiting moving in and he has been extremely impressed with there service and quality.
    They don't come cheap though in comparison to other new builds.
    But you get what you pay for I suppose!
