Hi,
I had an egg cc years ago and recently was contacted by barclaycard to say I had PPI on there so I went ahead with the claim and got £700 back in the letter they also stated that they could see that the PPI payment was causing me to go over my limit. Years ago I had to go on a payment plan as I was struggling I have recently cleared all my debts to find I have a default from Barclaycard. I wrote to them requesting the default notice and warning etc my first letter and 2 emails got ignored (have signed for receipt) it's not til I complained on twitter I eventually got contact back from the chief office department with a £50 cheque and basically a letter saying they can't provide me with any of the information and they believe the default is correct? Where do I go from here ....
Should they legally have to have the information and also they have admitted the PPI payment was causing me the stress on my account.

Even if the PPI caused stress on your account. You entered into a payment plan with Barclaycard. So I can understand their reasoning that you did default on the account. As the 2 issues while related are in fact separate.0
