Business vs domestic electricity supply

We're moving into a building that will be part-home, part-business. The current energy supplier is a commercial one, will we need to stick with them or could we potentially swap? We will have a separate supply for another building (which will be domestic) so presumably that can go domestic. How do costs compare, I seem to recall that domestic energy is cheaper?

Domestic energy has VAT at 5% - commercial is 20%.
You really have to keep your wits about you with commercial tariffs. Many have clauses that automatically roll-over to a new high priced tariff unless you give advance notice to leave well before the tariff finishes.0 -
