I am looking to go on holiday mid septmeber and dont really know where to go. Was wondering if anyone could recommend any nice places they have been to and stayed in.

Am looking to go somewhere warma nd sunny and would if possible like to stay in a 4 star hotel.

Can anyone recommend anywhere it would be much appreciated it is foe me and my boyfriend so we are loking for somewhere fairly quiet but nearer to local amenities. Dont mind what board it is.

We have stayed at Club Pollentia Puerto pollensa Majorca for 2weeks for the last four years. Suggest you have a look at website clubpollentia.com. The Village rooms and village suites are 4* the maris rooms 3* however whichever area of the resort you are on the food is the same. The hotel is very clean and gardens well maintained there are 2 outdoor pools 1 indoor jacuzzis gym. You can have their pool towels for 5 euro deposit. Thomas cook 1st choice and sovereign go there. It is not in the town just a 10 min bus ride (1euro 10c) into Puerto pollensa or Alcudia. The hotel hire bikes, have scuba diving, wind surfing, and catamarans. Also have a look at holidays uncovered for their reviews. Have a good time where ever you go.

This place is only 2*+ but its better than some 4* places I have stayed in
Pictures are from a russian site http://www.greki.ru/index.php?id_menu=339 but it can be booked via First Choice but its cheaper to book direct.
But also the Riu Palace Meloneras is very good in Gran Canaria www.riu.com the food is excellent and its right in resort but you dont get bothered by any noise we booked a villa room for about £10pp extra per night and it was well worth it. Thomsons hotel often have deals on this hotel

We came back from Vasia hotel and spa in Crete two weeks ago. They say it is a 5*, I wouldn't put it at 5* but it is the best I have been in in Greece.

It was lovely, we stayed in a Junior suite. I did hear that the 'normal' twin rooms weren't so nice as they hadn't been renovated, but then someone else said they were in a nice twin !. It is AI, the food was lovely and I like Greece and Greek food in restaurants. It is on med hotels .com . We booked it through sunmaster.co.uk they also have it on otbeach.com.

We have also stayed at Lydia Maris in Rhodes which has now been renovated since we were there two years ago. The food was good there too.

We would go back to both and are looking to go back to Vasia this year.

Yes Riu hotels are fabulous we stayed at the Riu Vistamar by Amadores beach near Puerto Rico in Gran Canaria. It was all inclusive. It is built on the side of a cliff and has free shuttle bus to Amadores beach and into Puerto Rico we booked with Thomsons.
