Hi this is my first post, I have a default on my credit file and it's not a year old but is paid in full and credit file shows that, I have phoned the company and explained the circumstances but they said as it's been paid in full it's ok and won't affect me???????

I split with my partner so wasn't able to get any post ect or have access to any correspondence and the amount was only £90 which was paid in full when I was able to get all my post

Did they say they would be removing the default?

You can get mail redirection for just you from your old address.

A settled default on your credit file very likely will significantly affect your chance of being accepted for new credit products, or what products/rates you may be able to obtain.

Especially whilst it is so new, but even longer term.
