Change can be scary... but it can also be good. Thing is, we usually only see the good aspects of change in retrospect, and it's the view looking forward to the unknown future that induces the collywobbles.

Hope you get a better sleep tonight.

Well - the axe has fallen - DH will finish in October.....poor b*gger is gutted.

The boss is trying to discourage him from using his 2 days job searching as permitted whilst under consultation - ongoing discussions are underway......

He has escaped from the store for "lunch" and is away to pick up parts for my car which a friend is fitting tomorrow for him. This has been an ongoing saga and I'm annoyed - friend fitting car does not think that women know anything about cars however it now turns out the solution I mentioned over a month ago is what needs to be done (only accepted after DH confirmed my findings).

So - no MSEing tonight - I'm away out to buy some wine as we will need this tonight.

Have a good day folks & normal service will be resumed tomorrow.

Thanks Lilbert - wine will be consumed tonight as the day has gone from bad to worse - both interviews that DH had yesterday have decided not to take his applications any further :( and as DH is swinging from high to low these days there will be much mourning tonight (I can see where he's coming from though)

However tomorrow will be a bright new day with another trip to Morrisons on the menu to get £10 of meat for £5 courtesy of "The Sun". Will do the same on Sat & Sun & as I will be cleaning freezer out tomorrow & will be buying long dated meat like gammon & bacon - this should see us through a good few weeks with no further shopping required.
Even the dogs got a treat as bones were on offer - can't you hear the silence except for the chomping of teeth on raw meat :D
And in the interests of MSEing - the remaining part of the newspapers will be used for lighting the fires come autumn so there is no waste at all :p

Anyway - off to empty dishwasher before sitting outside having a read

    Take care y'all

Well folks - onwards and upwards is required today......

DH has headed off to work to get "the official letter" but will drop in to Next on the way to return a couple of purchases and have them removed from the balance.
Brakes on car were done yesterday by a friend (£20) but now car is running much better & DH returned the old caliper for the £42 refund yesterday too.
I need to complete a dispute form for another company as agreed refund has not been applied to account and a another visit to Morrison's is on the cards to use up the remaining £5 meat discount vouchers.
DH tried to amend his phone contract today but has been told he's tied in until Aug 21st - not sure how this is the case as he didn't renew his contract so we'll need to look in to this on Tuesday.

And although it's a bit overcast at the moment - this is due to clear up so a bit of a chill out this afternoon on the decking with a book might be in order. I'm desperate to finish the one I'm reading as I bought the 1st of the "Game of Thrones" series the other day (via vouchers) and am really looking forward to seeing if it's as good as they all say :D.

    Havbe a good day y'all

    :j:jPay it forward - this so works:j:j

Was in Morrison's with 2 x £5 off vouchers & had decided that I didn't really need them both - saw a work colleague & passed one over. Was at the checkout & strange guy asked me if I was spending over £20 & gave me his £2 off voucher :j

    Love it
