estate agents sold ppi policy can i claim?

Very naive when i took out my mortgage back in 1998.

Connells estate agents basically set everything up for me, mortgage, life insurance, house insurance and payment protection insurance on my mortgage.
They told me i had to have mortgage payment protection insurance. So i took this out with them, it was debited from my account as Connell Residential.

This was £12-15 month. Paid this very month for 10 or so years.

My life insurance with Scottish widows covered me for repaying my mortgage if i popped my clogs.
Just wondering as i feel was abit clueless and bamboozled by them and would have signed for something i didn't really need. was told i had to have this insurance to get my mortgage from Coventry building society. Is this right?
Anyone know of this Connell residential policy, anyone had any luck with claiming it back. Any advice would be great.
Thanks

Probably not. However, it is the weakest of all complaints as it is an unprovable allegation. Do you have any evidence to support that allegation?

Technically, the policy has been set up correctly as monthly premium. You almost certainly had a financial need. Most MPPI complaints fail and there is nothing you say that indicates any success.

Plus, the biggest factor of all is that this was 7 years prior to regulation. So, they dont even have to consider your complaint.
