Natwest PPI Response - No Obligation

Hi,
I recently requested information on a loan agreement which was paid off approx 2008, as there was PPI on it but my partner cannot remember the full details.
Natwest responded with a letter stating :
' as the loan has ended we have no obligation to provide the information you request.'
They have put a 'PPI Customer Concerns Team' address on the letter, so does this mean I sent the original letter to the wrong department (original letter sent to customer service centre).
Is it worth forwarding the letter to the other address??
Any advice much appreciated.
Thanks

To get the information you need you have to send a SAR and £10. They are not obliged to give you info about closed accounts.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0

It sounds like you did a section 78 request. They are correct to say that they do not need to do this as that only applies when there is a debt outstanding. As taff says, you need to do a DSAR costing £10.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
