hi,
Sorry if this isnt in the right forum, I wasnt sure where to post it
I currently spend about £15 per month on PAYG mobile phone, OH is the same but he uses his phone a lot for work (he's a solicitor) and was wondering would it be cheaper to get a contract phone? I've heard loads of people talk about deals for £15 per month but all I seem to see on the phone sites is £35 per month plus line rental which works out a lot more expensive for us. Does anybody have an experience on this?
Many thanks

PAYG can work out very expensive if you need to use your phone on a regular basis. I think it's better for those who dont make many calls.
Best place to start is somewhere like the Carphone Warehouse - do you have a store near you? Tell them what you're after, how many calls/texts you make and they will advise. With contract you normally get a free phone too or if you want something a bit smarter, they are generally cheaper than paying for it PAYG.
I pay £25 per month on a contract. I get 200 minutes any network, any time and 200 texts. Suits me fine
Came with a free Samsung D900 which I gave to my husband as I needed to keep my Nokia for my car (bluetooth).
The £25 is all in (inc vat too).0 -
If you go for the offers on Carphone Warehouse, onestopphoneshop etc and look at the cahback deals as long as you are organised enough to send your bills off for the cheques. Also go to Quidco etc and see if you can get cashback from them too.
Last year i worked out my husbands phone cost us about £6 per month (200mins 200 txts) because i ordered through Quidco, redeemed all the vouchers for cashback throughout the year, and he sold the phone on for £60 last week to someone who will use it as a PAYG.
I have just reordered for the next 12 months on a similar basis."On behalf of teachers, I'd like to dedicate this award to Michael Gove and I mean dedicate in the Anglo Saxon sense which means insert roughly into the anus of." My hero, Mr Steer.0 -
I'm with vodafone and I pay £10 a month for 125 minutes (anytime, any network) and 100 texts which i think is very reasonable!
I was going to have PAYG because i only use about 50 to 100 mins each month, but found that this contract worked out much cheaper.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0
