Lloyds Bank Health Insurance reclaim ?

In the past I paid for health insurance from Lloyds Bank but my employer also provided Health insurance as a benefit. Is this something that is possible to reclaim ?

No, you should have either not taken/ or cancelled the Lloyds one.

Permanent health insurance normally kicks in after the employer pays their sickness benefits. e.g. employer pays for 3 months then the PHI would pay after 3 months. If it was 6 months then the PHI would be set to 6 months.

If your employer had a group PHI or you chose to have a workplace PHI then then it would depend on which one came first. If Lloyds was first then it was not mis-sold as you didnt have the employer benefit at the time. Equally, if you did not tell the person that you had a workplace PHI then its hard to class that as a mis-sale. Although you will often find the bank is sympathetic in those situations and may apply a refund.
