Expedia cancellation rights

Hi
I booked a package holiday via Expedia (hotel plus flights) and was shocked when the booking confirmation screen AFTER I paid said that baggage had to be paid for in addition. Now I find via Ryanair that taking bags with us on holiday will cost £100 extra
I'm very frustrated at Expedia's dishonest approach to this, they should make the total cost clear at the time of booking. I called and tried to cancel but they claim "the airline won't let us make changes to a booking" and passed me onto Ryanair, who don't even answer the phone.
Can anyone advise my cancellation rights please? Surely there is a contract cooling off period or rights of cancelation via the Distance selling regulations? Do you think my credit card company would reverse the transaction?
I do want to go on the holiday but do not agree to an extra £100 sting applied after I've paid, with no option to cancel at that stage.

Thanks for your reply Richard. Surely there is some kind of cooling off period or cancellation rights on these contracts?0

Some airlines allow you to cancel within 24 hours for free. Doubt that applies to Expedia...or Ryanair
Looking at an Expedia Flight and Hotel booking...it does show next to Ryanair and Easyjet flights that they are "Hand Baggage Only" when you click on this it brings up details of the baggage charges
eg Here's the most up-to-date information we have on baggage fees collected by each airline. Once you have selected your flight(s), a final view of your itinerary along with the applicable baggage fees will be available in the Important Flight Information section. Fees may vary based on when and how you pay, frequent flyer status, baggage size, weight and currency amongst other factors. For further information please visit our Manage My Flight section.
Airline Carry-on Bag 1st Checked Bag 2nd Checked Bag
Ryanair No fee £25.00 - £45.00 £25.00 - £45.00
The fact that there is no baggage included is not hidden, you just missed it0 -
Ok thanks Caz. Maybe I need to run thru the process again to see how I missed that. Still feeling a bit bruised but happy enough to admit I could have done more to avoid this.0

I'd say it's also commonly known that Ryanair/Easyjet are hand luggage only basis - general rule of thumb with low cost airlines is anything over & above you personally is likely to be an optional extra!Retired member - fed up with the general tone of the place.0

It says on Expedia when you try to book a Ryan air flight. How can Expedia make it clearer to you?The airline may charge additional fees
