  • Hi, I went to do my pgce at the age of 32. From the first time I was let do the teaching I knew I'd found the right job. Quite a relief for me and my family that I finally found a job I liked !! I'm now 46 and about to take 18 months out on secondment to work as a teachers resource point. Teaching is great if it suits you but lots of people hang in there for job security and they are the ones who do all the complaining. My first mentor advised me to head for the smiling faces in the staff room, and stay a safe distance from the moaners as it can be contagious!
