Npower free boiler trepidation
Options
Hi all
Just wanted some advice from anyone who has had one fitted.
I contacted Npower last month on behalf of my parents.
We've had the EPC and survey (via help-link) and are now waiting for our installation next week (we haven't heard from Npower after the survey)
The surveyor said that he recommended a new boiler but also said something about having to fit new piping from the meter round the front of the house to the boiler? Something about line of site and pipes being too small?
We are just wondering what to expect? Should we phone Npower to confirm installation? Does this pipe thing sound right? Should I specify what make of boiler I want? Will they make a mess? Folks are particularly worried about them messing up the carpets.
Thanks

You usually need a larger bore gas pipe where a Combination boiler is being installed. Why don't you give Help-Link a call. That gum you like is coming back in style.0

Our house was built in 1972 and we had to have new wider gas pipe from meter to boiler. To save taking up floors etc, the pipe is run outside.0
