My sister was complaining of the internet not working at home. I came home & my iPhone 4S connects fine. Hers stopped today. It worked fine yesterday though.
She's on 7.0.3 & has been for a long time & hasn't made any other changes lately.
I tried re-connecting & manually setting up but it just wont connect.
Any ideas?

Reboot router, try again. Reboot phone, try again. Delete the router connection on the phone, search wifi connections, reconnect and re-enter password. In that order. Well, that's the way I would do it.

The router isn't the problem - else it would've affected my phone also (& the wifes too, although hers isn't a 4S, but still...)
The phone was rebooted - no joy.
Connection was deleted - no joy.
Try & re-connect - no joy
Update to latest iOS version - WiFi wont even turn on to search a connection any more.0 -
It seems the wifi chip is malfunctioning. Is it under warranty? Where did your sister buy the phone from?0

I doubt it's under warranty. She bought hers a week or so before i got mine & i'm sure i got mine around October 2012.Handsome90 wrote: »It seems the wifi chip is malfunctioning. Is it under warranty? Where did your sister buy the phone from?
If memory serves it was from o2. If not o2 then Apple online, but i'm pretty sure i remember her going in to town to buy it from o2.0 -
Both my sons have an iPhone 4S, one was bought in November 2011 and the other in November 2012. The older one still has working wifi but the 'newer but out of warranty' one has the wifi greyed out and has been since the phone was about 12 months old.
Apple will help at a huge cost.
This alone has put me off buying any more Apple products, android all the way from now on.0
