Mobile phone insurance from about 3 years ago..

Was just going through my direct debts and noticed I have a DD for my mobile phone insurance, £10 a month which ive payed every month for the last 3 years at least. It was for a phone I got with phones4u, it was a two year contract which has since expired and I have since got a new contract with vodafone, which i got as soon as the phones4u deal expired.

Should I just go ahead and cancel this through my online banking? i wouldnt want to incur any fees but I doubt im even covered anymore as my newer phone is alot more valuable than the one I had insured. Unfortunately i have also moved home in the meantime and i cant find any documents in relation to my insurance policy. Shame I didn't think about this a year ago as I feel ive just thrown 10 pounds away each month!

You need to follow the correct cancellation procedure as simply cancelling the dd will just stop the payment rather than cancel the policy

If you can't find the policy docs then contact them direct and make certain of the cancellation.
