Vendor taken seriously ill on exchange day..

  • I thought I would update this post. We are still in our boxed up house. Despite buyers saying they had to move in by mid July or pull out they didn't and are still waiting in the chain (I think they were trying to push us to complete to them). As for the house we want, the new husband has sought letters of administration and we await news whilst probate process goes on. It's a month down the road. So we are in the waiting game.

Worried this week when a house very similar to the one we are waiting for (if not smaller) came on the market asking 35k more. Hoping new husband doesn't decide to gazunder us.

Fingers, toes and anything else crossed...
  • Fingers still crossed for you and your own buyers.
  • I thought I would write an update because things are looking good for an exchange in the next week.

It will be 2 months since our vendor died and we all ended up in this mess. Late last week we heard out of the blue that husband had letters of administration. We have now got new papers to sign and hope to exchange next week! We won't believe it till it happens but right now it looks like we were right to hold out. Fingers crossed!

Hope it goes well for you next week - is there a fingers crossed smilie?
It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

We exchanged on Wednesday! We complete 17th September.

In this case pragmatism and patience have prevailed. Now to complete packing!

Thanks for everyone's finger crossing and words of advice ☺
