Really poor OVO meter reading requests and customer service

The language is far too cosy for my liking, and I've never heard anyone younger than 60 say "shufty". I also don't like how checkout assistants in the big supermarkets have started asking me how my day is going (another reason to shop at Aldi)
That said, taking the time to complain about it is a bit strange, and leaving one of the very few competent suppliers (who also happen to be very competitive on price) is just cutting off your nose to spite your face.0 -

I ditched Ovo a few years ago and would never go back. Believe it or not I transferred to Npower and never had any issues. However by some of the reports on here I must have been lucky.0

I'm with OVO and elected to manage my account online. It's just a reminder to supply readings. I dont have a problem with the email content. Better than getting a estimated bill. I can put up with it when traded against the 3% in credit payment!0

I am with Ovo and think their communications are fine....
Isn't the moral to this query that you only get the email if you haven't submitted your online readings; which I think you are supposed to in order to get the discounts you signed up for?0 -
I actually quite like it. It's certainly different. I get lots and lots of corporate speak emails so find their approach refreshing.
I switched from EDF last month and have not had any problems whatsoever with OVO.0 -
I find OVO communication fine. I had a slight issue with billing, I rang up and got through within a minute and it was sorted within 3 minutes. :T0
