Just heard from the EA - the buyers have returned their calls!! they said their solicitor now has their mortgage offer - the EA and my solicitor are trying to confirm this now!

They may consider exchanging now on a minimum deposit and complete in August which we will be happy with! They have half an hour to come back to me!

I do hope so! Completion in August would be a pretty good result, no?

I really hope it works out for you - we are currently waiting for news ourselves of buyers who have gone a bit quiet - we've been told they have their mortgage offer but were going to have further inspections of things highlighted by their survey. Been a couple of weeks since we were told they were going to do this but no arrangements have been made for the actual inspections. But they also have a very newly arrived daughter so their priorities are probably somewhat mixed!

Let us know what happens this afternoon!

I feel for you - house buying and selling is one of the most stressful things - I wish there was a better way of doing it.
  • I have just heard from my solicitor that their solicitor has NOT received their mortgage offer - they were supposed to have received it 2 weeks ago - thats when the buyer reckons he got a copy of his - i'm confused!

Also just found out the buyers solicitors have just said they have now raised more questions which were sent yesterday which my solicitor have not received! I can't believe they have more questions - I went in and signed my contract 2 weeks ago under the impression the buyers solicitors had a copy of theirs on their file and we are nearly ready to exchange - what questions can they possibly have at this point?

This is so frustrating - looks like I will be remarketing!

Argh! Whatever happens, I hope you get the result you need - even if it has to be done through remarketing your property.
